Job Opening: Marketing Specialist

Service Pump has been serving customers for more than 40 years, and we take pride in our efforts to manage and protect the world’s most precious resource: water.  We work hard every day to provide access to clean water, deal responsibly with wastewater, and manage stormwater for mining, industrial, oil & gas, and municipal customers.

You will report to our Sales Manager and drive Service Pump’s success by spearheading the company’s sales, promotions, and campaigns.  You’ll have a leadership role with our sales team and collaborate closely with our experienced engineering, supply chain, and repair coordination team to bring value to our customers.  You’ll use critical thinking and creative problem solving to serve our customers and maximize revenue.  

We have recently undergone a digital transformation with a focus on using quality data to serve our customers better.  As a member of the sales team, you’ll use in-depth account data to generate reports, analyses, and forecasts. By utilizing technology and insight from real-time analytics, you’ll guide the sales team in actively solving problems for customers who rely on us.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the SPS website to ensure it’s up-to-date, optimized for accessibility and performance, and secure.
  • Analyze traffic, conversions, and other web and digital data to evaluate the effectiveness of content, channels, and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct research to develop and implement effective SEO strategies.
  • Help develop, implement, and maintain SPS’s social media strategies.
  • Develop landing pages, content, and digital media campaigns to drive lead generation through SPS’s online channels.
  • Produce clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy.
  • Assist and enable the sales team by helping manage the CRM.
  • Lead company efforts when we participate at trade shows and other industry events.
  • Assist the Sales Manager to track opportunities and capture new opportunities.

What You Bring to Service Pump

  • College degree preferred
  • Commitment to excellence, curiosity, and growth
  • Experience with website content management systems, preferably WordPress
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and best practices in SEO
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize findings from data
  • Knowledge of basic web development, including domain management and hosting
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with assistance from online resources
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media engagement; B2B experience preferred
  • Ability to create and implement digital marketing campaigns on social and/or search platforms
  • Exemplary writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Experience using a CRM a plus, preferably Salesforce and Hubspot
