2020 Appalachian Connection Scholarship winner Brysen Honeycutt

Congratulations to the 2020 Appalachian Connection Scholarship Winner

SPS is proud to support Appalachian Connection, a scholarship program for students in eastern Kentucky

At Service Pump, it’s important to us that we play an active part in supporting the communities we serve. So we are honored to partner with Appalachian Connection, an organization encouraging the educational growth of young leaders in eastern Kentucky.  Appalachian Connection is a nonprofit organization that provides an annual college scholarship to students who demonstrate a passion for giving back to Appalachia.

This year’s winner is Brysen Honeycutt, a senior at Knott County Central High School. During his high school career, Brysen has been named as a Kentucky Governor’s Scholar and received an impressive perfect score on the ACT.

Brysen plans to attend the University of Kentucky in the fall to pursue a degree in engineering. We have no doubt he will use his skills to help support a bright future in eastern Kentucky.

Upon learning he would receive this year’s scholarship, Brysen said, “It is an honor to be selected as this year’s Appalachian Connection Scholar. I am thankful for this opportunity to give back to the Appalachian region and to be a part of a great organization!”

Our team is proud to play a part in building up our local communities and fostering tomorrow’s leaders across our service area.
