Celebrating 40 Years of Teamwork and Service

In 2020, Service Pump celebrated its 40th anniversary. So, last year, we highlighted the many things that make us proud to be part of the Service Pump & Supply family. While there’s no doubt 2020 was a tough year, it made one thing abundantly clear: people matter. And we are incredibly fortunate to be part of a phenomenal team.

No matter their roles, people around here never hesitate to pitch in and do whatever it takes to support our customers and each other. Take, for example, Charlie McKenzie, our Huntington branch manager and a real team player. During his 31 years at Service Pump, Charlie has consistently gone above and beyond. His work ethic and in-depth knowledge of pump services and systems are invaluable assets to our business.

Charlie knows Service Pump and Supply inside and out. He’s done nearly every job in the company and is always ready to lend a hand. When we opened the Hazard, Kentucky, branch, Charlie stepped up to ensure the launch was successful and even relocated for a while to make sure operations ran smoothly.

We can also look to folks like Roger Stapleton for inspiration. Roger is a fierce and constant advocate for his customers, always putting their needs first and doing whatever is needed to get the job done.

“There were many times where the service crew would have to pull an all-nighter, and Roger would show up just to bring us food and coffee. He didn’t have to be there, but he was,” said SPS founder Danny Vance.

People and service are at the heart of everything we do. From the water professionals we work with to the communities we serve, we’re surrounded by daily reminders of the importance of putting people first. We know the past year has been challenging. But, just as we did in the 39 years before it, we made it through as a team. Thank you for letting us be part of your team, and cheers to brighter days ahead!
