SPS’s Pump Performance Data Gives You Money-Saving Insight

We Help Find Out What Causes Your Pumps to Fail — And What You Can Do About It

Over the past four decades, a lot about Service Pump & Supply has remained consistent. From our commitment to putting service first to our passion for pumps, there are some things we’ll never change. But that doesn’t mean we’re stuck in our ways. In fact, we’re constantly seeking innovations to help us deliver better, faster, and more affordable products and service.

One way we’re staying ahead of our competitors is by using advanced technology and data science. Our completely digital systems track orders, provide real-time information on repairs, and allow us to analyze the performance of your equipment.

Get Real Results with Pump Performance Data

At SPS, we examine and track the root cause of failure for every pump we repair. And we keep track of the environments in which our pumps operate in the field. By tracking this detailed pump performance data over time, we can predict situations that are likely to cause your pumps to fail and we can head off problems before they occur. That not only saves you downtime and frustration, but also can eliminate the need for costly repairs or replacements.

And because we keep track of pump performance data for all our customers working in a wide variety of settings, we’re able to provide you with insight you need to stay competitive.

We can help answer questions like…

  • Are my pumps failing faster than others operating in similar environments?
  • What’s causing my equipment to fail?
  • How can I adjust my installation, maintenance, and operating procedures to prevent failures before they happen?

Armed with this information, you can make smarter decisions and reduce operating costs.

The advantages this technology and insight give us don’t stop there. When a pump does come to our shop for repair, you can trust the job will be done quickly — and done right. Our pump repair database and digital dashboards put factory specifications at the fingertips of our expert pump technicians.  And the historic information we collect on all repairs allows them to access the collective insight and experience of our entire team by allowing them to research similar projects we’ve worked on in the past.

Then, when your repair is completed, we put our workmanship to the test with our rigorous, data-driven testing program.

Our quality control team utilizes test stand equipment and our custom-built 30,000-gallon test pit/surge tank to conduct a nine-point pump inspection to ensure electrical and mechanical integrity.

Factors Tested During Service Pump’s 9-Point Inspection:

  1. flow
  2. pressure
  3. vibration
  4. temperature
  5. net positive suction head (NPSH)
  6.  amps
  7. volts
  8. power factor
  9.  thermal overload integrity

All critical measurement and testing equipment are calibrated yearly and meet the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
